The Fourth Way

In search of schools for the esoteric, PD Ouspensky encountered GI Gurdjieff who claimed to have visited several monasteries where he connected with various wisdom traditions, learning about what later became known as “the Fourth Way” school which has its roots and esoteric foundations in the Monastery of the Sarmoung Brotherhood which was said to be located somewhere in the heart of Asia, about twelve days’ journey from Bukhara by horse and donkey.
