Awareness of self goes one way and then the other—in and then out, an outgoing and an in-flowing, just as does breath. Two psychic directions or movements, as distinct from the two physical directions or movements of breathing. In Self-Awareness one must look in, then look out at the same time. When a person is doing this, it gives a certain expression to their eyes. To see the outer, and then see oneself in relation to the outer. Comparing this with breathing we can say that an act of Self-Awareness is an inward and then an outward flow, carried out consciously, with attentiveness—guided through aim, and the feelings awakened with practice. ~ Obyvatel
